Founded in 1929 and responsible for many remarkable aircraft of the 20th Century, Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation produced HFF's F7F-3 Tigercat and F8F-2 Bearcat. The Navy's first twin-engine fighter, only six Tigercats remain. Designed to climb from a carrier deck to 10,000 feet in under 100 seconds, the Bearcat was the last of the Navy piston fighters and the first demonstration aircraft of the Blue Angels.
